Extending Our Impact

Texas Advocacy Project’s Impact Litigation coordinates and oversees statewide legal efforts that serve survivors of dating & domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.

We focus on instances where the barrier to justice is too high, and we lower those barriers by doing the following:

  • Improving access to protective order services throughout Texas.
  • Using the appellate process to ensure that cases interpret relevant statutes fairly, and in ways that serve survivors.
  • Advocating to and partnering with institutions that impact survivor’s issues.
