Donor Engagement Specialist
Reports to: Chief Development and Communications Officer

Salary: $55,000 annually
General Description
The Donor Engagement Specialist is responsible for both administrative tasks pertaining to donor cultivation, the donor experience, data/CRM management and research tasks to support the Development team.
All staff assists in overall office responsibilities including correspondence, working with volunteers, basic office tasks, and other duties as required. Some travel and working irregular hours including weekends is occasionally required for this position. This is a hybrid position- both remote and in-person. Applicant must be located in the Greater Austin, TX area. Applicants must have reliable vehicle transportation. Business casual wardrobe is mandatory for in-office work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilizes and maintains donor database to perform donor stewardship including correspondence, donor data entry and recognition, gift entry, generating thank you/tax letters, pulling mailing lists, and generating donor reports
- Supports the lifecycle of the donor experience with TAP
- Provides individualized approach for donors, for example, handwritten donor correspondence as needed and where appropriate
- Researches major donors (LinkedIn, etc.), donor management trends, and fundraising trends
- Assists with organizing donations (including pick-ups and deliveries for events and department materials from office and storage unit)
- Assist with and attend Fundraising events to socialize with donors
- Provides other fundraising, marketing, or communications tasks as assigned by Chief Development & Communications Officer
Qualifications
This position requires confidence and interest around learning new online databases and other information technology centered tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree or four years’ experience in fund development, communications, sales, or marketing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with CRM systems
- Well organized, resourceful, persistent, and critical thinker
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to learn and work independently while also working well with others
- Physical work including light to heavy lifting may be required
