Help mend a broken heart

This Valentines Day, Texas Advocacy Project invites you to send a message of support to those who need it most. Too many Texans do not know what it is to be in a loving relationship. They often grew up in abusive homes, making it difficult to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships as adults. They now find themselves trapped in an all too familiar cycle of violence – with an abusive partner replacing an abusive parent.

Their own children are now subjected to this same unhealthy environment, living with fear, intimidation and the threat of physical assault where there should be unconditional love, support and stability. This creates not only future perpetrators of domestic abuse, but future victims as well.

It takes tremendous courage and strength for a victim to break this cycle of violence and to reach out and ask for help. When they do, Texas Advocacy Project is here to provide one of the only proven solutions to halting the abuse:

legal intervention. By providing free, state-wide legal assistance with obtaining protective orders, divorce, and child custody, we are helping victims transform themselves – and their children - into survivors. Please consider helping mend another Texan heart this February. Consider making a small donation to Texas Advocacy Project.
