Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Women's Advocacy Project-a statewide organization dedicated to providing legal assistance to domestic violence and sexual assault victims-is celebrating its 25th anniversary!  I am writing to update you about the strength and growth of this non-profit agency and to ask that you support our cause by signing up today to be a Justice Partner.

On March 1st, we changed our name to the Texas Advocacy Project.  After much study and consideration, the Board of Directors concluded that this name more accurately reflects our diverse client base, as well as our statewide presence.  If you visit our new website at http://www.texasadvocacyproject.org/, you can learn more about the life-saving- and life-changing-legal services the Project provides to help women, men, and children across Texas end the cycle of violence in their lives.

To celebrate our new name, and our 25 years of service to Texans in need, I am asking you to become a Justice Partner.  As a Justice Partner, you will be listed among a special group of statewide donors and recognized for your dedication to protecting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  In addition, you will enjoy:

  • Special recognition in our quarterly newsletter, distributed to thousands of supporters across Texas;
  • Early sponsorship opportunities for our Annual Black and White Ball and other events;
  • Visibility (for you and/or your firm) on our website; and
  • Periodic updates from the Project throughout the year that show how your donation has helped provide legal services to thousands of Texans in need.

Access to legal services is the only social service directly correlated to a decline in domestic violence.   By becoming a Justice Partner, you will be helping Texans in need obtain access to legal assistance that can empower and protect them from any further harm.

Please take the time today to visit our website at http://www.texasadvocacyproject.org/ and click on the "Donation" link to become a Justice Partner.  Any amount you contribute will make a difference.  Thank you for joining me in making Texas safer for everyone.

Sincerely,

Marla Broaddus, Vice Chair, Texas Advocacy Project Board of Directors
