Bringing Out the Good in Millions of Lives

The Allstate Foundation

Since 2007 The Allstate Foundation has helped Texas Advocacy Project to provide legal services, education, and access to economic empowerment information to survivors of domestic violence so they can get and stay safe.

Through this partnership, survivors can obtain court orders --including access to financial resources like child support, equity in the marital estate, and crime victim compensation funds-- that are critical in permanently breaking the cycle of violence. In addition to one-on-one client counseling, the partnership allows Texas Advocacy Project to  provide webinars targeted for survivors and service providers that explain how victims can use the legal system to gain financial freedom and how victims can use financial management services, such as the Moving Ahead through Financial Management curriculum, to become economically free of their abusers. We are incredibly grateful for this ongoing partnership!
